We all have a deep desire to be loved, to feel worthwhile, to be treasured and valued and indispensable. We long to be of significance and have a sense of belonging to someone. We were created with that desire to be filled.
I don’t know how romantic your life is or how many sweet moments you have tucked into the satin-lined pockets of your heart, but I know this: you are adored and cherished by God. Human romance is wonderful; the thrills, the butterflies and the inability to eat, sleep or do anything but think and long to be with that one that has captured our every moment of existence, but human love comes and goes, often times based on our feelings, our moods and life’s situations we find ourselves in and how they treat us.
However, God’s passionate love for us never wanes! His love is not affected by what we do, say, think, or don’t do, say or think, nor is it conditioned in what we look like, what size we are , whether a size 2 or 22. It matters not to God if we have tight, tone muscles or sagging, flab that sways when we walk, nor does He care if we age gracefully or look like we ran into a train, our age and aging happens to us all, it phases Him not, He is not out seeking a younger, more youthful version. His love is not conditioned on us at all. He loves us in spite of ourselves!
The outlandish lengths to which God will go to prove His love for each of us is beyond our scheme of human comprehension, far beyond any other human being’s possibility to love.
“This is how much God loves us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”
~~~I John 4:9,10
God gave Himself, He died on the cross with Jesus for us, how outlandish, how incredible is that? All for you and me. He loves us whether we know it, admit it, accept it or live in it or not! His love is AMAZING!
May you accept it today and walk in His love from this day on, have a LOVE filled day my friends! ;o)
